Hi, I'm Dixie Randolph and I hope you enjoy my work as much as I do in creating them. Most of my designs are one of a kind, while others are a compilation of stitches, new and old. Beading as adornment has been around for thousands of years, passed down through the generations. The Egyptians learned to make glass, and then glass beads, combined with precious and semi-precious stones, as well as precious metals.
Beads became an important commodity and were traded around the world. These were used in religious ceremonies as well as decoration for clothing. Many countries made and traded beads, including, the Romans, Celts, and Vikings. Of course, here in the Native America society, beading is still an important part of their culture.
